Qld Landcare Conference

Landcare could arguably be called an enigma. What started as a farmer initiated movement in the mid 1980’s has grown, expanded diversified and morphed as more and more people take up the challenge of sustainability. Over 4000 Landcare groups have formed in Australia as diverse as the Australian landscape itself. From grazier groups from arid parts of Australia desert to Urban landcare groups in our biggest cities and every variation in between. With the threat of climate change, an international shortage of water quality and quantity, and a growing population to feed Landcare has never been more relevant.
